What Are Cruiser Motorcyles?
Cruiser bikes come in a few different categories that include touring bikes and choppers. They have a low-slung seat and a reclining riding position for a low center of gravity and easier balance. The rider can sit back, place his or her feet on the forward pegs and cruise down the highway in comfort and style. Many cruisers feature longer front forks and higher handlebars. Cruisers are very popular because they give the rider a wide field of view, and the reclining riding position allows for hours of riding without excess fatigue.
Is a Cruiser Right for You?
Cruisers are perfect for the open road. They offer more horsepower and more torque than your smaller commuter bikes. If you’re planning on taking your cruiser bike to work, they get better gas mileage than even a small sedan. They come in a lot of different styles and colors, and you can always expect a smooth and comfortable ride. They’re not as much fun if you’re riding short distances in dense traffic, but that’s true about any vehicle.
