Riding Your Motorcycle With a Passenger

Put in Some Practice

If you’re brand-new to riding motorcycles, you need to ride them solo for now. Only a moderately experienced rider will be able to handle the needs of a passenger. The weight of a passenger changes how your motorcycle moves, which means that you have to be able to change how you ride, which will be hard for a beginner to do. So, in order to keep yourself and everyone safe, only add a passenger when you’re confident in your riding skills.

Prepare Your Bike

Your motorcycle also needs to be properly maintained and in good condition before you add a passenger. You should also establish some hand signals that you can use to alert them to changes and for them to let you know if you should pull over.
